Beta FAQ

Why is it free during beta?
Castio is built on Cloudflare RealtimeKit, which is currently in beta with no usage charges. During this period, the real-time video infrastructure that powers Castio meetings has no per-minute fees. We're also waiving the Castio license fee during beta so testers can evaluate the full platform without cost. You'll only pay for standard Cloudflare services on your account (Workers, D1, R2, KV), which are typically minimal.
What do I need to get started?
A Cloudflare account (free to create) and a domain name. We'll walk you through the deployment process and help you get everything configured.
How long will the beta last?
The beta runs for as long as Cloudflare RealtimeKit remains in beta. We'll give beta testers plenty of advance notice before any pricing changes take effect, along with preferential terms for early adopters.
Is the beta suitable for production use?
Beta testers are running real meetings today. That said, both Castio and Cloudflare RealtimeKit are actively evolving. We recommend the beta for teams who are comfortable with an evolving product and want to shape its direction. We work closely with every beta tester to ensure a good experience.
