$500. One payment, yours for life.
No tiers, no per-seat charges, no usage meter on our end. One payment, once.
$500
one time, first 100 customers
$500, one time
That is the whole price, for the first 100 customers.
What it includes:
- Setup and onboarding
- Lifetime updates, delivered through the platform's built-in update channel. You click "Update Now," we handle the rest.
- Direct support from the people who built it, not a ticket queue, for the life of the product
After the first 100 customers, Castio moves to yearly licensing. We're not naming that price yet.
Even if Castio disappeared tomorrow, your platform keeps running in your own Cloudflare account. Nothing about the product depends on our servers.
After that, Castio never bills you again. Monthly costs below are Cloudflare's, billed to your own account.
Castio vs. Zoom, per month
Zoom charges per host, every month, forever. Castio charges $500 once and never bills you again. The only monthly cost of running Castio is your own Cloudflare usage, billed straight to your Cloudflare account. Here's how the two compare at 1, 3, and 6 seats. Adjust the usage below and the table updates.
| Seats | Zoom, per month | Your Cloudflare estimate, now (RealtimeKit beta) | Your Cloudflare estimate, at full announced rates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $13 | $5/month | $5.00/month |
| 3 | $40 | $5/month | $5.00/month |
| 6 | $80 | $5/month | $16.20/month |
These Cloudflare figures are Cloudflare's own charges, billed straight to your Cloudflare account, not to us. They are never part of our $500. During RealtimeKit's current beta, usage is priced at $0, so your bill is just the $5/month Workers Paid fee, no matter how many seats you run. Once beta pricing ends, RealtimeKit usage adds on top, at $0.002 a minute of video, so the cost grows with your seat count.
Cloudflare includes 10,000 participant minutes of video free every month, plus 100 recording minutes, before any usage charge kicks in. So smaller teams usually pay just the $5/month Workers Paid fee, even at full announced rates. The full-rate column above only starts climbing once a team's monthly usage clears that allowance.
Zoom has no cost up front. Castio's $500 is paid once, before you save anything. For one seat, Zoom's own free plan (a 40-minute cap per meeting) may already cover a solo or light user, and its paid plan still runs less per month than even the Cloudflare beta baseline above. If price is the only factor at one seat, use Zoom.
Numbers assume Zoom billed annually and the Typical usage level above (about 20 hours of one-on-one video per seat per month), unrecorded. Heavier usage or recording most sessions raises the Cloudflare estimate, shown live by the controls above.
Recording, in real dollars
Recording a one-hour session costs about $0.60 to process, at RealtimeKit's $0.010/minute recording rate. Castio stores the recording in your own Cloudflare R2 bucket, at R2's storage rate of $0.015 per GB per month. A recorded hour runs roughly 0.5 to 1 GB, so keeping it stored costs about a penny or two a month, not per recording, per month, for as long as you keep it.
