White label video conferencing, without the branding you're renting

Most "white label video conferencing" products aren't white label. They're a vendor's platform with your logo pasted on top, running on the vendor's servers, billed by the vendor's meter. You get a color scheme. They keep the infrastructure, the data, and the pricing lever.

Castio is different in one specific way: we don't host anything. Castio deploys directly into your own Cloudflare account. Your domain, your database, your recordings, your bill. There's no vendor server in the middle to re-brand, because there isn't a vendor server.

What "true" white label actually requires

A video platform is only really white label if all four of these are true:

Most vendors selling "white label video conferencing" give you the first two and skip the last two. That's re-skinning, not white labeling.

How Castio delivers white label video conferencing

Castio is a deployment, not a subscription to a shared service. Here's what "deployed into your own Cloudflare account" means in practice:

  1. You (or we, walking you through it) create a Cloudflare account if you don't have one. It's free to start.
  2. We deploy the Castio Worker, database, and storage into that account. This takes under 30 minutes.
  3. Your logo, brand color, and domain go in through the admin settings. No code, no vendor ticket.
  4. From that point on, every meeting, every recording, every byte of usage happens inside your Cloudflare account. Castio checks in hourly for update availability; it does not proxy your traffic or store your data anywhere else.

The underlying video infrastructure is Cloudflare's RealtimeKit (RTK), the same real-time media network that powers Cloudflare's own products. You're not getting a hobby SFU. You're getting Cloudflare's edge network, billed to your account at Cloudflare's published rates.

What it costs

One package: $500, one time. That is the whole price, for the first 100 customers.

That covers setup and onboarding, lifetime updates, direct support, and every feature we ship going forward, for the life of the product. It does not include Cloudflare's own infrastructure costs (Workers, D1, R2, RealtimeKit usage). Those are real costs of running your own platform, billed by Cloudflare directly to your account. Cloudflare includes a free monthly allowance of RealtimeKit minutes before usage billing starts, so for most small teams the full-rate bill is still about $5 a month; heavy use and recording add Cloudflare usage past the included allowances. After the first 100 customers, Castio moves to yearly licensing; we're not naming that price here.

There's no per-seat charge and no per-minute meter from us. A 3-person team and a 30-person team pay the same $500, once. After that, your only monthly bill is your own Cloudflare usage, about $5 a month during the RealtimeKit beta, whether you run 3 seats or 30. Even if Castio disappeared tomorrow, the platform keeps running in your own Cloudflare account. Nothing about the product depends on our servers.

How this compares to hosted "white label" vendors

Most companies selling white label video conferencing are hosting vendors who re-skin their own platform for you and meter your usage on top of a subscription. That's a legitimate business. It's just not white label in the sense above. The practical differences:

Hosted "white label" vendors Castio
Where it runs Vendor's servers Your Cloudflare account
Where your data lives Vendor's database Your D1 database, your R2 storage
Pricing shape Usually per-seat or usage-metered, on top of a base fee $500 once, no seat count, no meter from us
What happens if you leave You export what they let you export You already own everything; there's nothing to migrate off
Branding depth Logo and colors Logo, colors, domain, and no vendor footer anywhere

We're not claiming hosted white-label vendors are hiding anything. Most are upfront that they host your instance. The distinction matters if "white label" specifically means you want the infrastructure, not just the paint job.

FAQ

Is Castio actually white label, or just "custom branded"?

Actually white label in the infrastructure sense: your domain, your Cloudflare account, your data. Most "custom branded" video tools mean logo and color only, on the vendor's own servers. Castio has no shared servers to distinguish it from. It runs on yours.

Do I need my own Cloudflare account?

Yes. If you don't have one, we walk you through creating it as part of setup. It's free to open, and typical usage costs for a small team are a few dollars a month on top of the one-time $500 license.

Is there a per-user or per-host fee?

No. The $500 license covers unlimited hosts and unlimited team members, for the life of the product. Cloudflare's own usage-based infrastructure costs (RealtimeKit per-minute media, storage) are billed separately by Cloudflare, not marked up by us.

Can I use my own custom domain, like meet.mycompany.com?

Yes. You can start on a yourcompany.castio.app subdomain and move to your own domain when ready. It's a guided DNS setup, no domain transfer required.

What happens to my data if Castio (the company) disappears?

Your data was always in your Cloudflare account, not ours. It doesn't move anywhere. Even if Castio stopped operating tomorrow, your instance keeps running, and the underlying data stays exactly where it's always been: your account.

How is this different from building on Cloudflare RealtimeKit myself?

You could build directly on RTK. It's a solid SDK. Castio is the finished platform on top of it: user accounts, meeting scheduling, recordings management, guest access, branding, analytics, and the deploy/update tooling, so you're not writing that from scratch.
